To my students (group 62) ! It deals with Unit 4 "Freedom of Speech".
I am interested in your opinion: Do you think sixteen-year-olds should be able to vote in general elections?
Here is a new topic to be discussed:
Nowadays for people living in our society earning money is their principal goal. They are convinced that money will give them everything they want to live comfortably. On the other hand some people claim that things like love trust friendship cannot be bought for any cash. But are really the best things in life are free?

ВідповістиВидалитиTo my mind, modern people overestimate the significance of money. Trust me, it is much better to appreciate things we get for free. Free hugs are much more pleasant than listening to someone boasting about their wealth.

ВідповістиВидалитиIn my personal opinion, this statement is absolutely true. We should not pay for things which were given to us from our birth. I consider that the best thing in the world is our own life. Every person has got it without paying a cent. Some more free things are family, friends, smiles, love and good memories. We do not pay for them. We just enjoy all these things for free every day.

Also money is important because it means being able to give your children the best – the best education, the best health care, the best start in life.

It is necessary for people to have some circle of communication with their friends that can't aslo be bought for cash. We shouldn't forget about it and have only a couple of interests and necessaties in life: friends, family

ВідповістиВидалитиSo, The happiness is inside of us , the best things of life are not things , so it can't be buying. Money is an ilusion and it was crieted to enslave all us. The love of money is the root of all evil. When more you worried about money more unhappy you can be.
We all want to be comfortable and cared for, we want to feel secure in our lives, and money helps with that. The endless pursuit of money, the inability to know when enough is enough, however, can have the opposite effect on us. If all we can think about is money, if it consumes us, where is the comfort? Where is the security?Nothing truly valuable can come from money. Money can only buy you material items in life. It cannot buy you happiness. Happiness is an emotion and is different for everyone. People say that "that car would make me the happiest person in the world," but that's not true; its what they DO with the car that makes them happy. When you look at material things and feel a strong emotion, that comes from sentimentality. You can't buy memories. They are just something that happens in life. The best things in life are indeed free. You do not have to work hard to understand what I mean.

ВідповістиВидалитиIn my opinion, sixteen-year-olds shouldn't be able to vote in general elections because they don't understand the implication of certain political actions and do not possess the maturity to wait it out or think a policy through when voting. Most of them also do not understand the ideologies of parties in detail. You can go around asking other teenagers about left-wing parties. The most common answer you would get is 'I don't know'.
ВідповістиВидалитиMoreover, it is needless to deny that sixteen-year-olds are Far too young to know what politics are about. If they want to vote let them be punished as adults when they break the law.

ВидалитиI think that teenagers shouldn't vote in general elections since our views and opinions may differ with time and i do believe that it is better to make crusial decisions when we are fully responsible for them. Ergo, when we are adults.
ВідповістиВидалитиOn the other hand, though adults think they are doing their best, they do not put themselves in our shoes while solving education or school related problems. That's our field of interest and we want to have our say. Summing up everything that has been said so far, i believe that we are not able to decide who should rule the country, but we are not reckless. Thus, i am sure we can handle responsibility laid on our shoulders. Just let us have a say.

ВидалитиA sixteen year old should have the right to vote. If you think about it a sixteen year old is already allowed to do many things such as: get a job legally and some are allowed to get married with parental consent. Everyone who has a job has to get taxed including 16 and 17 year old kids, so why don't they get an opportunity to vote? We trust 16-17 year old kids to drive and yet they can't vote? And some parents trust them enough to have their own family, they at least deserve the right to vote

ВидалитиI think that teenagers should vote in general election. Any movement that gets young people involved in the electoral process is definitely a positive one. How we are wrong when we describe a 16-year-old teenager looking to vote as a not responsible enough and that they wouldn't take it seriously.

Voting - is very important issue in our country. I think that everyone has the right to make their vote during general elections, even teenagers, but I can claim the fact that the majority of adolescents in this age aren’t very responsible, so they can take it lightly, make wrong decision or do it just for fun. That is why I think that sixteen-year-olds shouldn’t be able to vote in general elections.

ВідповістиВидалитиCybercrime is a crime which is committed against the Internet userss.I think this kind of crime must be considered as a serious crime . The punishment of ciber-criminals should be regarded by a whole community of users.
If the internet community is able to establish order in their affairs , then the Internet users will be able to feel safe.

Distribution of computer viruses, fraud with plastic payment cards, theft of money from bank accounts, stealing computer information - this is not a complete list of such crimes. It can cause great harm to the country.Today, cyber attacks can be more serious than other offenses. Every day there are new opportunities for cyborgs to carry out their attacs.
